I was inspired to make this piece after visiting the desert and canyons of Southwest Utah. Seeing the rock formations that have been formed over centuries it made me think of the various artifacts we hold close in our society. By combing the ancient greek sculpture with the canyon walls of Utah I aim to invoke the sense that history is all around us, buried into nature. We are never far from our origins.
